Each of the seven 2011 - 2012 SSCAR Series rounds consists of two 12-lap Heats, a Pole Shuffle, and a 18-lap Feature
HEAT ONE: Marble draw for starting order for Heat One with the fastest driver starting from Grid 1
HEAT TWO: Heat One grid positions are reversed for Heat Two
POLE SHUFFLE: The top six points scorers from the two heats will shuffle for the feature race's top six grid positions
- Cars fifth and sixth on points race over two laps in Run-off One. Car 5th on points has lane choice. Losing car leaves the track and starts Feature from grid 6
- Car fourth on points challenges Run-off One winner over two laps in Run-off Two. Challenging car has lane choice. Losing car leaves the track and starts Feature from grid 5
- Car third on points challenges Run-off Two winner over two laps in Run-off Three. Challenging car has lane choice. Losing car leaves the track and starts Feature from grid 4
- Car second on points challenges Run-off Three winner over two laps in Run-off Four. Challenging car has lane choice. Losing car leaves the track and starts Feature from grid 3
- Car first on points challenges Run-off Four winner over two laps in Run-off Five. Challenging car has lane choice. The winner has the choice of starting the Feature from pole or grid 2
FEATURE: Finishing order in the Pole Shuffle determines the first six grid positions in the 18-lap Feature with the winner starting from Grid 1
Feature Race grids 7 to 16 are determined by aggregate points from the two heat races
As well as points for finishing positions (90 for first down to 24 for sixteenth), drivers are awarded 1.5 points for each car they pass in the heats and feature race i.e. a driver starting from grid 5 and finishing the race in 1st place is awarded 96 points in total, 90 points for the win and 6 points for passing four cars.

- DNF cars are awarded points as they drop out i.e. in a sixteen car field the first car to drop out gets 24 points for 16th place, the next car to drop out gets 27 points for 15th place etc
- DNS cars failing to cross the start line in their starting grid positions at the start of a race are deemed non starters and don't receive points
